Basic information about
Boris Johnson – Politician & Writer – Brexit negotiator
Boris Johnson’s career
The former London Mayor, and writer of the book “The Churchill Factor”, worked as British Foreign Secretary. In Summer 2018 he resigned just in the middle of the Brexit negotiations. Mr. Johnson was also a crucial personality in the EU referendum, which led to the Vote Leave campaign. He is considered as one of the most captivating politicians of his generation, with a uniquely entertaining style of delivery.
In May 2015 Boris Johnson was elected Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip. In 2016 he was elected UK Foreign Secretary, standing down after two years. Before this Boris served as Mayor of London for eight years. That means the most significant personal mandate in British political history. He earlier worked as Editor of The Spectator, MP for Henley-on-Thames, as well as Shadow Minister for the Arts and Shadow Minister for Higher Education.
Boris is an original—the opposite of a stereotype, the exception to the rule. Overweight and goosey-fleshed, he’s the antithesis of an airbrushed pin-up. He resembles a ‘human laundry-basket’ and has a habit of forgetting to shower.
