Henrik Fisker is a risk-taking, innovation loving designer and businessman who makes his dreams reality and never gives up.
Henrik Fisker is the founder, president, and CEO of Fisker Inc. an American car manufacturer based in California – USA, which has remodeled the progress of electric vehicles with battery replacement solutions.
Henrik Fisker is also the director of design and product strategy at VLF, which currently has three models, which are:
The first is the VLF Destino V8
The second one VLF Force 1 V10 And the third is VLF Rocket.
Previously, Henrik founded Fisker Automotive in 2007 as the world’s first eco-luxury automobile corporation, and took the idea from its design to a team of 600 people, from thought to large-scale production, and purchases of the company’s very first model, Fisker Karma, who sold more than 2000 cars. Under Henrik’s leadership, Fisker Automotive obtained many awards, including Time Magazine’s Best Invention of the Year 2012. In January 2016, Henrik Fisker co-founded VLF Automotive with Bob Lutz and Gilbert Villarreal, an American luxury sports car producer based in Auburn Hills – Michigan, which is concentrating on low-volume masterpiece cars.
Creativity and innovation
In 2016, Henrik Fisker lifestyle was established, a lifestyle brand devoted to creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In June 2013, he set and currently works as executive director of HF Design, which is a design and innovation firm that produces multiple leading consumer products in sections ranging from automotive, lifestyle, décor, decoration, home, design, education and smart devices. The organization declared its alliance with Benetti Yachts in April 2016, starting a series of 164-foot super yachts called Benetti Fisker 50.
Previously, Henrik established Fisker Coachbuild in 2005, an automotive design house that recovered the art of coachbuilding by merging elegant design with enduring world-class engineering.
Fisker Coachbuild produced cars such as the Artega GT (German sports car) and the Fisker Latigo & Fisker Tramonto. From 2001 until 2005, Fisker operated in senior executive positions at Ford Motor Company. He did a creative director of Ingeni, Ford’s design and creativity center in London. In that time, Fisker also was a member of the Board of Directors and Design Director at Aston Martin in Gaydon, UK. As a member of the board, Fisker took part in a team that managed Aston Martin’s turnaround. Henrik sketched the Aston Martin V8 Vantage and was in charge of the design of the DB9, the variants of which were James Bond’s favored vehicles.
Ford’s Global Advanced Design Studio
Fisker was further director of Ford’s Global Advanced Design Studio in Southern California. Under his administration, several show cars were designed, including the Shelby GR1 concept which was revealed at the 2005 North American International Motor Show.
BMW Designworks USA
Between the years 1997 and 2000, as chairman and CEO of BMW Designworks USA, the industrial design subsidiary of BMW in California, Henrik managed a team of 130 employees and was responsible for internal and external clients. Henrik created such renowned cars as the BMW Z07 (1997) and the BMW Z8 roadster (1999), which is another Bond’s car.
Henrik Fisker is in the advisory board of Panasonic Aviation and also works as a senior advisor to McKinsey. He worked in several honorary positions as a Judge at the Concours d’Elegance in Pebble Beach in 2012 for the best in its class in the elegant design category, as well as an Advisor and Judge at the Royal College of Art in the United Kingdom, in Automobile Design. Henrik was previously a brand ambassador for Swiss watchmaker Maurice Lacroix.
In 1989 Henrik Fisker graduated in Transport Design from Arts Center College of Design in 1989.
